Registry Backup Restore

Archives are saved in [system root]\config\SM Registry Backup

To restore a backup:

1. For Windows 9X, in DOS, use regedit to restore the backup.

2. For Windows NT based systems, use the Windows NT disaster Recovery Console.

1. Boot into the recovery console and navigate to the appropriate registry backup folder.

2. A restore.bat file should be inside each folder.

3. Type restore.bat and then press Enter.  All archive hive files are copied to the appropriate mother hive folder.

3. Restart the system to complete the change.
